About the event
A meet-up for Decatur parents and caregivers to learn about some of the legal implications of Project 2025, the possible dissolution of the U.S.Department of Education, and the President's recent executive orders for our schools and for our kids. We will also discuss the federal rights that do still exist. Questions will be addressed by attorneys Robyn Painter of Painter Legal, LLC.,and Megan Ballard Mitchell of The Law Offices of M. Ballard Mitchell. Both attorneys currently practice education law and are alums of the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights.
